Meet Mark Stubley
For more than two decades, Mark has been building and maintaining homes across the Discovery Islands. A self-taught craftsman with an eye for detail, he’s known for overbuilding everything he touches—because when you live and work on the coast, quality matters.
Mark started Discovery Islands Contracting with a simple goal: to provide reliable, professional construction for island residents and property owners who want solid work done without hassle. Over the years, he’s completed everything from full home builds to docks, decks, and detailed interior finishing.
Clients appreciate his straightforward communication, his respect for local materials, and his habit of exceeding expectations. Whether it’s joinery that fits perfectly or a dock that’s ready for storm season, Mark’s craftsmanship speaks for itself.
He lives and works on Read Island and serves the surrounding communities of Quadra, Cortes, Maurelle, Sonora, and Rendezvous Islands. When he’s not on a job site, you’ll find him in his shop, planning the next project or fixing up tools that have seen just as much island life as he has.
